Recent Projects

Recently we have worked alongside PlantLife International and Natural England on various conservation projects. For example, we worked on the ‘Shifting Sands’ initiative, where we managed habitat to encourage rare wildflower regrowth within a heathland area, with a ‘bee bank’ alongside it. We also created ‘Rabbit banks’ for this rapidly declining species in the Brecks. Find out more about this project here.

At Home

It’s not only contract work which prompts us to make life a better place for the wildlife around us. We also work on our own sites to improve habitat for wildlife. Hawthorn bushes border our yard and provide a valuable resource for everything from bugs to birds. We have a wildflower meadow and also a stretch of the disused railway line, where mature trees and managed scrub are there for wildlife to enjoy, as well as nest boxes for our feathered friends.

Conservation For Councils

One of our projects was with Thetford Town Council on Barnham Cross Common. This was to control scrub encroachment for the benefit of the common and create scrapes for an array of wildlife. Find out more about this and some of our other projects on the Case Studies page, under the ‘About’ tab.
